We are looking for eager and excited Business Development Leader to join our team! This position requires a personality for sales, networking and marketing responsibilities and must be a person who possesses the ability to assist in all aspects of the sales process and project start up for Architecture and Engineering projects.  

This is a lead sales role and requires a high-energy, self-motivated person who maintains excellent interpersonal communication skills, particularly where information must be conveyed to decision-makers internal and to external clients.

Experience in one or more of the following technical areas is helpful.  Technical Market Sectors such as the following: Semiconductor, Flat Panel Display, Photovoltaics, Data Center, Nanotechnology, Life Science, Additive Manufacturing, Imaging.  


Key team member working in varies aspects of the sales process including:

  • Business Development 
    • Opportunities engagement through relationship building/networking 
      • New and Existing relationships
      • Account Based Marketing – targeted 
      • Inform team of any reach outs and the results.  
    • Pursuing opportunities
      • Identification of potential growth opportunities with existing client.  
      • Identify opportunities (while working with clients) and report to Executive and PM team members of the new lead/client.
      • Participate in discovery calls with the client and executive team to decide as to GO/NO GO
    • Participate in development of proposals for the client including scope alignment and timeline.   
      • Benchmarking (internal and external reference points) to help with pricing requirements.  
      • Maintain client and project history.
      • Utilizing this information for the analysis of new opportunities.
      • Coordination and preparation of proposals, marketing materials for a professional service company (scope, budget, costs, schedule etc.). 
    • Awareness of AMTS Groups and other team members that could benefit the client and the relationship. 
  • Project Start up:
    • Development and identification of internal team for the project, based on the scope requirements and availability, done in conjunction with PM and leads.  
    • Build relationships and work to identify subcontractors for projects as they arise.  
    • Participate in potential team players interviews and collaborate with the team to determine technical and cultural fit.  
  • Internal Group Strategic Contributor 
  • Development of library of reference materials related to:
    • Business Development 
    • Design 
    • Core 
    • Life Science 

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • Communication skills 
    • Asks questions and listens intently.  As you might expect, this position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, an eye for graphic style and quality, and the ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • A can-do attitude and creative enthusiasm
  • Must be well-organized, with the ability to work independently at times and collaboratively at others
  • Possesses a high-level of intellectual curiosity
  • Understands patterns and trends within industry i.e., market studies, regional data
  • Sets goals and develops action plans for scope of work, and proposal development with customers
  • Sets realistic expectations with clients
  • Experience is a plus in coordination and preparation of proposals, marketing materials for a professional service company (architectural, engineering, or construction firms)
  • Experience developing compelling presentations and engaging proposal documents using various platforms i.e. Word, Adobe, etc.
Excellent Computer Skills Required: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams REQUIRED.

Adobe Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator (a plus)

Education  Architecture, Engineering or Science based Degree 

Full-time position.  Salary commensurate with experience/education.
