Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of mechanical systems, pumps, heat exchangers, vacuum pump/abatement systems, chillers, air compressors and control systems. Conducts preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance inspections and procedures. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment and troubleshooting skill required in resolving nonstandard problems.
Responsibilities Include:
Participate and support Emergency Response Team response coverage for all subfab systems related ERT calls.
Develop, implement, and maintain a basic safety process program.
Conduct preventive maintenance for vacuum pump systems, abatement systems, chillers, heat exchangers, various types of wet and dry pumps, control systems, and utility services.
Participate and interact in trouble-shooting on equipment related process problems.
Perform inspections for abnormal conditions and any safety issues e.g. alarms, leakage, component failures, equipment deterioration.
Attend required operations meetings to support Engineering and Production groups.
Relevant experience is defined as facilities, maintenance, or operational technician experience working with one of the following: high purity hazardous gas/ chemicals/ UPW / WW / HVAC.
Pumps – Rebuild and maintenance, including mechanical seal centrifugal, diaphragm, multistage and systolic.
Motors – Rebuild including bearing, shaft and seals, 480v 3 phase wiring, variable frequency drives.
Valves – Diaphragm, solenoid, pinch and disk.
Controls – Installation and setup of meters and sensors. Calibration of meters and sensors communications to PLC and DAS. Variable frequency drives. Calibrations  of sensors including flows (paddlewheel, ultrasonic), pressure, pH, level and calibration gas.
Filters – Change out of filters on pressure delta or time. Integrity testing of sub-micron filters in the vessel and individually.
Plumbing – PVC, CPVC, PFA, copper pipe and SS tubing.
Trouble shooting – Capable of using FMEA to take a logical approach at problem solving to diagnose the correct repair and eliminate the probable cause.
