Two of the most important things in Katie Mausteller’s life were basketball and Williamsburg Christian Academy.
She was among the first athletes to score 1,000 points in a career and still holds the school record in girls hoops. Mausteller died last October in a longboarding accident in Harrisonburg during her senior year at James Madison University.
To honor Mausteller, Williamsburg Christian will host a 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament next month. A portion of the proceeds will go to support Soldiers for Faith, a nonprofit committed to building men of faith.
