Community giving and hands-on support have been a huge part of AMTS company culture since the company was founded in 1994. In the early days there was sponsorship of the local youth sports teams, church mission trips, and support for children and families in need.
In 2000, the company created the Ann Rose Children’s Fund, followed by the creation of the Ann Rose Corporate Fund in 2006, and the giving has expanded to support numerous charities around the world.
“The spirit of charitable giving and community support was inspired by our founder and Chairman, Tim Self. It is a credit to Tim, our employees and our leadership team that this giving spirit has strengthened and broadened as the company has grown these last twenty plus years,” says Johannes Brinkmann, CFO of AM Technical Solutions.
“The Ann Rose funds were created to enable our employees to deposit into an account that empowers them to designate the specific nonprofit organization they want to support and to double their support with a dollar for dollar match by the company. Our employees have self-directed $1.13 million to organizations around the world in their own personal charitable giving since the funds were first created in 2000,” continues Brinkmann.
“This is something all of us at AM Technical Solutions are extremely proud of.”
The company created the funds through the Austin Community Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes impactful philanthropy by connecting donors to nonprofits.
“We at the Austin Community Foundation are proud to partner with AMTS to help their employees give generously in the communities where they work,” says Mike Nellis, CEO.
“When companies such as AMTS value giving back to the community, we can help them do so easily and efficiently. Congratulations on the many years of giving and more than $1 million donated!”
Ann and Rose are middle names of the women on both sides of Tim Self’s family, and the funds were named in their collective honor.
