Our Life Science team recently began work on a complex facility expansion project for a leading U.S. pharmaceutical and medicine company. We will be in the Construction Design Assist role, supporting multiple companies to achieve an aggressive project timeline.

Our Design Assist Construction Project Scope
Our client is planning a large campus development project that will increase their product manufacturing capabilities. As the assigned Construction Design Assist Contractor, our company will support current activities and help plan for an accelerated execution of the project.
Our focus is to find opportunities to support the desired schedule, enhance collaboration, and deliver the project safely and efficiently without compromising quality. Specifically, we will be working with our client and the engineer of record to address the following items:
- Review the existing site conditions and make recommendations on logistics plans and material staging for the site.
- Identify modularization opportunities to improve schedules and relieve congestion on the site.
- Make recommendations on the existing project schedule to improve overall duration.
- Analyze predecessor/successor logic to potentially improve overall project delivery.
Our work will cover the entire campus to support the needs of several production buildings, site prep and utilities, logistics infrastructure, and additional buildings. To support the urgent nature of the project, we will apply forward-thinking, practical innovations, including modularization strategies, logistics optimization, and schedule acceleration techniques.
We will provide a high degree of collaboration during the design and construction phases, with a high focus on achieving schedule acceleration, maintaining quality standards, and supporting project design cost affordability.
Specific to the design phase, we will highlight ways to streamline the process and routinely communicate opportunities to maintain or improve the schedule. We will also collaborate with other teams on the ground to ensure we are striving for the best possible project outcome.
To support this highly complex project, we have mobilized an industry-leading team of experts, including a Project Manager (Construction Expert), Planner (Schedule and Sequence), and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Piping, HVAC, and Steel, Civil, and Building Envelopes.
The team will strive to eliminate any silos that affect project goals, guide the work to be accomplished, identify and recommend solutions that benefit our client, and drive safety, quality, speed, and cost through the overall execution of the project.
