(Austin, Texas) — While your average 16-year-old spends their day going to school, doing homework and hanging out with friends, life is different for AMTS sponsored NASCAR driver Austin Wayne Self. After two successful Late Model stock car racing seasons at a local track Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, Texas, Austin and his family decided he was ready to make the move to a more competitive set of tracks.
So the family got a new address in Charlotte, a new racing team – Sellers Racing – with a reputation for success on NASCAR short tracks, and an aggressive 27-race season schedule, Austin would have no time to do much else than race.

Austin, who has become NASCAR’s Most Popular Teenage Driver, is already experiencing a lot of success with very little time on each of these tracks, which include Southern National Motorsports Park, South Boston Speedway, Caraway Speedway, Motor Mile Speedway, Langley Speedway and Richmond International Raceway.
So far this season, the AMTS 07 Chevrolet has recorded 1 win, 13 Top 10’s and 10 top 5’s with fifteen races still on the
