AM Cleanroom Build and Performance (AMCBP) completed a cleanroom certification and testing project for a facility that manufactures prefab piping for high purity gas use in some of the world’s largest semiconductor facilities.
The 1,200 square foot cleanroom space, which required the ISO 14644-1 Class 5 certification level, contains 40 fan filter units and is used for ultra-pure piping.
“Because our team has extensive experience performing certifications and testing in highly sensitive semiconductor facilities, we understand the importance of properly certifying clean environments in this market,” says Emil Bordelon, a NEBB Certified Professional with 30 years of experience.
“There was another certification company working on this project prior to our team being engaged. They did not have a NEBB Certification, and there were some significant issues they did not report. Our team found 15 fan filters off which contribute to the cleanroom having a very low rate of airflow. The cleanroom did meet the target cleanliness classification the first time. After all the fan filters were running the room easily met the cleanliness classification,” continues Bordelon.
“We were able to identify the problems and assist in getting the issues corrected and the ISO 5 cleanroom certified.”
The AMCBP team is scheduled to do the cleanroom construction on their new expansion later in the 4th quarter.

With over 30 years of experience, and the NEBB Certification, the AM Cleanroom Build and Performance Engineers and Technicians can identify and analyze cleanroom performance problems; and suggest the most effective solutions or self-perform the corrections. Our Engineers and Technicians are experienced in the most sensitive environments such as ISO 14644, Class 1 through Class 9, and have helped develop the industry’s standard protocols and testing specifications, as well as some of the key instrumentation, testing media, and standard documentation in use today.
