We are currently supporting one of the premier research universities in the U.S. with a fab upgrade (Phase 2) that builds on a planning and design review performed during Phase 1. Upon completion of this multi-year project, the world-class facility will provide students with the resources they need to pursue advanced technology pathways.
In the current Phase 2 of the project, we are providing both on-site and remote commissioning support for our client’s team. Learn how we will ensure systems integration, operational readiness, and performance verification to meet the university’s ambitious modernization goals.
Our Project Scope Providing Critical Commissioning Support
During this critical Phase 2 stage of the project, our team will focus on providing commissioning support for various systems that will be upgraded or installed in the fabrication facility. The key aspects of the facility improvements include:
- Condensed Water Cooling Towers
- Chilled Water System
- Ultra-Pure Water
- New Back-up Generator
- Exhaust Systems
- Gas Detection System
- Chemical Distribution Units
For each of these improvements, we will follow either a Comprehensive Commissioning Process to verify that all building systems function as intended and meet our client’s project requirements or a Focused Commissioning Process to validate that specific systems or components of the facility operate according to our client’s specifications.
For example, to support the condensed water cooling towers, we will provide a Comprehensive Commissioning Process to ensure the towers are configured to turn on and off to maintain the proper water temperature. Due to system changes, full commissioning is required so the towers operate as expected and maintain a constant temperature difference.
Our team is committed to a “first-time right” approach for Phase 2, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results within the client’s budget and timeline.
