Today, we are featuring the “We Are One Family” organization. They do a fantastic job of building community by sharing overflow with each family in need so that no family member or child within their reach goes without basic necessities.
The Powerful Mission of We Are One Family
We Are One Family aims to share their blessings within the community to ensure that every family has what they need. But another key focus is encouraging children to learn how to share and do good things for others – even in small ways.
By instilling these key values in children, the organization is inspiring the next generation of family leaders to understand how to anticipate needs, care for each family unit, and be cheerful givers.
While the main focus is ensuring that everyone has what they need on a daily basis, We Are One Family also hosts gatherings for special purposes. For example, they run local events to provide school supplies to children and feed families who are struggling to find a meal or are going through a hard time.
At this point, you may be thinking of biblical passages that match the heart of this organization. Consider the words of Acts 4:32 that capture the early Christian church: “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.”
