Throughout the history of AM Technical Solutions (AM), we have been intentional about creating a healthy company culture that encourages each employee to build up each other and their respective teams. Sometimes, the culture is evident at the job site; other times it’s outside of the walls of the workplace.
A great example of the company culture in action has happened in Oregon, where our teams on the ground have gathered together for regular team-building events such as a haunted maze, golf, and local charity outings.
The teams have competed together in events such as PDXLAN, a PC gaming event that brings together thousands of PC gamers to compete against each other. As you can see in the photos below, our team has found great success in competing and bonding together.
The Connection in Oregon is Strong
One of the great things about our teams in Oregon connecting over the PDXLAN event is the opportunity to support a worthy cause. During the last event they attended, the AMTS team was part of a group of 600+ gamers who raised more than $61k for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation (TNBC).
Through PDXLAN, our employees have also recruited new employees to our company, built community, and supported each other personally and professionally. We would specifically like to highlight these individuals:
- Tayler
- Enrique
- Alexander
- Ariel
- Victoria
- Donald
- Ryan
- Reegan
- Steven
Within the PDXLAN team, each person is encouraged to participate in other activities and events such as tug-o-war, cornhole, disc golf, video game tournaments, and more. During these events, the team competes hard and cheers harder for each other. They have also created team apparel to make them feel like a whole unit instead of separate individuals, which is an excellent illustration of our company culture.
Outside of PDXLAN, the teams on the ground reach out to other individuals within the company for events such as conventions, festivals, airsoft outings, and other events. Not all of these events support a charity, but there are many networking opportunities in the community.
Above all, the connections formed in Oregon are a great way for AM employees to create stronger bonds and relations beyond day-to-day work. It allows for a more friendly, interactive, and productive environment both in and outside the office.
We are proud to have remarkable teams on the ground in Oregon. Our employees are gathering together on their own. They check on each other when they are sick or personal problems arise, always looking for ways to support each other.
“What’s great about what’s happening in Oregon is that we know these connections are happening throughout our company at other job sites across the country,” says Matt Shipley, General Manager. “We are proud of all AM employees who sacrificially give their time, effort, and energy to support each other, our customers, and the company as a whole.”
