We are currently supporting one of our long-standing partners with lab expansion design, documentation, and construction support services to aid Research and Design (R&D) efforts at their facility in the Southwest U.S. This expansion and renovation work must occur without disrupting ongoing lab operations.

Our Project Scope for Design, Documentation, and Construction Support Services
Our team has been tasked with providing program validation, design, and build services to carry out the following scope of work for the R&D lab renovations:
- Develop an overall Project Execution Plan, including construction phasing.
- Perform project due diligence and deliver basis of design documentation.
- Design documentation (Drawings and Specifications) according to progress milestones.
- Develop a commissioning plan for the scope of work.
- Provide a Construction Cost Estimate for the work to be done.
- Prepare and submit an Issued for Permit (IFP) document set for plan check approval.
- Review and respond to all questions from authorities with jurisdiction over the project.
A key element of the project is the generation of critical documents to support the facility expansion. We will need to prepare and submit a complete Issued for Construction (IFC) document set. We will also need to develop and provide a detailed Construction Schedule that includes phasing and sequencing of project work to ensure the timeline can be satisfied.
Our knowledgeable and capable team will be working closely with our client’s team to ensure we
develop and receive approval for a project phasing plan. Our success will be tied to reviewing chemical use and storage documentation for the renovated facility upon completion to ensure that our client remains up to code for the spaces in and around the R&D lab.
To ensure the project remains on track, our team will strive to achieve the “Right First Time” goal we set for every client project. We will use multiple benchmarking techniques, historical data, resource planning systems, cost tracking and control tools, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) indicators to guide our team’s collaborative efforts.
