ESTECH 2025: AM Selected to Present on Nanotech Cleanroom Challenges

AM Technical Solutions (AM) is thrilled to announce that we have been selected to present at ESTECH 2025, the premier conference for professionals in contamination control, cleanrooms, and nanotechnology facilities.

Join us on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. EST in Orlando, Florida, as we deliver our presentation, “Challenges of Designing a Waste Collection for an Existing Operating Nanotechnology Cleanroom.”

Hosted by the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), ESTECH is the leading annual event that connects professionals dedicated to pursuing the best methods for managing controlled environments, such as cleanrooms.

Our presenters Molly Gawura (Chemical Process Engineering Manager) and Bart Benz, PE, CSP (Senior Process Engineer and Certified Safety Professional) will provide in-depth expertise and insights from our recent work on a unique and challenging nanotechnology cleanroom project.

Why Attend Our Presentation at ESTECH 2025

Molly and Bart will provide in-depth insights into a recent case study. This project tackled the replacement of a clogged hazardous waste collection system in a live, operating nanotechnology cleanroom, which was a complex and high-stakes task.

The presentation will focus on how we tackled the challenge of replacing a clogged hazardous waste collection system in a live nanotech cleanroom while managing a flammable waste stream and non-HPM (Hazardous Production Materials)-coded spaces.

The key takeaways for attendees will include:

  • Navigating code compliance for HPM materials.
  • System boundary definition and custom equipment design.
  • Coordination of HVAC, fire suppression, and life safety strategies.
  • Lessons learned from testing, commissioning, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) interactions.

This session is ideal for professionals who lead and manage projects in cleanrooms or other complex, code-sensitive environments. You will have the opportunity to discover how to rethink and innovate waste system modifications in operational spaces.

About Molly Gawura

Molly is a seasoned chemical process engineering expert with extensive experience in the semiconductor, solar, and energy industries. She leads a dynamic team of process engineers and has managed multimillion-dollar semiconductor fab expansions globally. Her insights into cleanroom operations and advanced manufacturing make her a highly sought-after industry speaker.

About Bart Benz

Bart brings decades of experience in process engineering across semiconductor, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing industries. He is an expert on HPM code compliance, fire protection, and cleanroom design. Bart’s work with high-stakes projects highlights his extensive contributions to process system optimization.

Join Us at ESTECH 2025

If you’re passionate about solving complex challenges in nanotechnology cleanrooms and want to learn from experts in the field, this presentation on May 5th is a must-attend event during the 71st annual ESTECH 2025 event.

“Having a deep bench of cleanroom experts like Molly and Bart allows us to speak authoritatively about this critical topic of planning for hazardous waste system modifications in operational cleanrooms,” says Dan Codi, Chief Operating Officer. “We recommend attending our presentation to learn, rethink common approaches, and bring innovative solutions back to your own projects.”
