AM Technical Solutions (AM) is proud to see one of our signature design projects lead to the awarding of a $20 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
The AM design team completed a fab design project for BRIDG, a two-story, 100,000 sf semiconductor research / manufacturing facility.
BRIDG is located in the NeoCity research park, a master-planned campus that offers acres of permitted building space for the development of advanced manufacturing technologies. The property sits on approximately 20 acres within the 400-acre property formerly known as Judge Farm in the eastern Kissimmee area of Osceola County. Entities can take advantage of this dedicated space without issues associated with permitting and utilities.
Now, the BRIDG facility has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract to bolster America’s defense efforts against emerging cybersecurity threats.
This was an historical contract for BRIDG, as it was the first major federal defense contract valued at $20 million from the U.S. DOD Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) office.
The contract was announced by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio and U.S. Representative Darren Soto. As stated in their press release, the fab facility will “provide a new technology for next generation microelectronic multi-chip systems that will strengthen national security and cyber resiliency for the United States defense industrial base.”
Why Is The BRIDG Facility Critical For Our Country?
BRIDG is a very strategic facility for American security. And, because the U.S. government has been challenged to pull together the right technological resources with existing infrastructure, BRIDG was a necessary step forward to increase our country’s defense against cyber threats.
“In order to retain the leading edge for our warfighters, we must take the necessary steps to increase domestic development and manufacturing capacity for critical emerging technologies,” said Senator Rubio. “BRIDG is very well positioned to provide the Defense Department with this critical, next generation technology that will strengthen national security and cyber resiliency for the United States defense industrial base.”
“I’m proud to have worked in a bi-partisan manner with Senator Rubio to support BRIDG and their efforts to achieve federal recognition for their advanced microelectronics work,” Representative Soto added. “This contract will strengthen our national security.”
We are proud of the work from our entire company, especially the design team responsible for laying the groundwork for a critical facility. Our deliverables for BRIDG not only supported our client, but supported the security of our country.
