Over the past few years, AM Technical Solutions (AM) has been at the forefront of the U.S. semiconductor construction boom period. We have participated in numerous large-scale semiconductor projects across the country to support the rapid growth of the industry.
We have supported the Semiconductor industry since our inception.
One of our key services is providing 3rd-party quality representatives for the project owner during construction. As the largest and most experienced semiconductor 3rd Party QA company in the U.S., we can provide exceptional value to our clients by proactively addressing issues before they become problems.
How We Deliver Value for Semiconductor Construction Projects
Our company is creating value by helping solve challenges for clients who lack the resources, expertise, and talent to fully execute capital projects in the high-tech construction industry.
With all the work taking place in the U.S. to keep up with the construction boom, the trades are being stretched very thin. Inevitably, many inexperienced people are working on these large, complex projects.
For example, some crew members need help understanding the critical differences between standard industrial construction and clean-build construction of advanced manufacturing facilities.
Project timelines and budgets are also becoming more aggressive, so our typical scope of providing 3rd Party QA is often minimized as much as possible. While we believe in two key approaches of “build quality in” and “first time right,” we have recently seen where many of the tradesmen and foremen do not have enough experience to understand how to accomplish quality without adequate on-the-job coaching, which we can provide through our 3rd party QA teams when engaged early.
To support our scope, we are providing subject matter experts (SMEs) in Mechanical, Electrical, and Process (MEP) systems. Their responsibilities are both to coach the trades as well as ensure all code and specifications are met.
However, when our teams are only engaged at the end of the project for final inspections, we often discover that a high level of rework is required. We also find poor-quality systems that require complicated, time-consuming, and expensive cleanup.
We are prepared to apply our expertise to support the needs of each project, such as system cleanup. But, we are also working intently with clients to educate them on the value of bringing us in earlier. Getting ahead of issues prevents the need for costly re-work, especially at the most critical time of the project as production ramp nears.
“We are driven by the desire to act in the best interests of our clients,” says Dan Codi, Chief Operating Officer. “As the industry continues to build at an unprecedented rate in the U.S., we will continue to assist companies in selecting an execution model that can deliver on all three (cost, schedule, and quality) through a First Time Right approach. Then, our teams can efficiently deploy QA solutions to keep the project on track.”
