AM Technical Solutions (AM) and our employees are committed to giving back to the communities where we work and live.
We recently partnered with the Phoenix Children’s Foundation to sponsor the 2022 Phoenix Children’s Big Dig for Kids event on November 5, 2022. The event was an excellent opportunity to bring together the construction community in Arizona to promote healing for children facing significant health obstacles.
In total, the AM team raised $5,000 for the foundation. Our participation made an even greater impact by helping Phoenix Children’s raise over $750,000 to benefit the Cancer and Blood Disorders’ MIBG Therapy program and provide a one-of-a-kind day for patient families.
Impact of the “Big Dig for Kids” Event for Phoenix Children’s
During the event, patients at the hospital could visit one of the 36 interactive kid zone booths to decorate suncatchers and toolboxes, race rubber duckies through PVC pipes, and find hidden treasure in giant sandboxes.
In the equipment area, kids took the driver’s seat to operate excavators, honk the horn on water trucks, and run, jump, and play on scrapers, dozers, scissor lifts, and more! It was an incredible day for kids and their families that face tremendous challenges on a daily basis.
To support the event, Jennifer Zabriskie from our team led a company-wide fundraising effort through our dedicated fundraising page. We want to thank our employees for their incredible generosity in supporting this campaign.
Here is the complete rundown of the event’s success:
- $751,635 total raised for the foundation (far exceeding their goal of $500,000!)
- 91 Sponsors (including AM Technical Solutions)
- 36 Kid Zone Sponsor Booths
- 300 Patients supported
- 1,200 Kids attended
- 2,300 total event attendees (patients, kids, and family members)
- 35+ Construction vehicles/equipment on-site
