Sports is a source of hope and light for so many children — whether internationally in Mexico or right here in our home city of Austin, Texas.
Our team saw that first-hand during the 2020 RBI Austin Benefit dinner, “Now at Bat,” which was held Thursday night, January 30 at the JW Marriott in Downtown Austin.
The annual fundraiser showcased how the RBI Austin program is having a tremendous impact on the lives of Austin-area children. Children are growing in confidence, developing critical life skills, and receiving encouragement through the games of baseball and softball.
Now, after this year’s benefit dinner, even more children will be able to receive the gift of hope through sports that we all love. The 2020 RBI Austin Benefit dinner raised $760,000 in support of 1,491 kids!
As noted by Austin-American Statesman columnist Kirk Bohls in his report from the event, “It’s a big step up from the 15 youngsters the program started with in 2009.”
AM Technical Solutions Proud to Support RBI Austin
As RBI Austin has grown, so has our support and appreciation for the wonderful work of this organization.
Our company was a proud sponsor of this year’s benefit dinner, continuing our sponsorship relationship that dates back to 2013. As part of our sponsorship, we had two tables with 20 attendees at the dinner.
In total, 770 people were in attendance showing their support for the RBI Austin program and Austin-area children.
We were treated to a wonderful dinner, opening remarks from Texas softball legend Cat Osterman, stories on how the program has transformed lives, and an inspiring speech from featured speaker Chris Del Conte, the University of Texas Athletics Director.
Each year, our team is excited to see how RBI Austin continues to grow. This year was no exception, as more children are being encouraged, uplifted, and built up through sports.
Thank you to founder and executive director Matt Price, benefit chairs Lori & Jason Becker, and the entire host committee for putting together an amazing evening.
