At AM Technical Solutions (AMTS), we are committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Our company’s recent partnership with the Tempe Empty Bowls program reflects our dedication to service and doing what’s right for local communities.
Our journey to becoming involved with Tempe Empty Bowls was sparked by one of our employees, Ciel Villawatkins. Through her involvement with her church, Ciel introduced us to this impactful program that aims to end homelessness in Tempe one bowl at a time. Learn more about the impact of this ministry.
How Tempe Empty Bowls Supports the Local Community
Tempe Empty Bowls harnesses the creative talents of local artists and schoolchildren who craft ceramic bowls to sell at an annual event. The proceeds from these sales provide essential food and shelter to the homeless, partnering with local entities such as the Tempe Community Action Agency, also known as “I-Help Tempe,” and the United Food Bank.
We recently contributed $1,500 to the cause, which directly supported the Tempe Community Action Agency’s Food Security program. The Food Security program provides services to local residents and helps feed more than 26,000 seniors, adults, and children each year. This gift helped increase the quality of life for individuals who depend on these crucial programs.
We also encouraged our team members to donate and participate. This collective effort boosted the resources available to address homelessness in the local community, showing what everyone can achieve when we come together for a common purpose.
Our Advanced Engineering (AE) office in Tempe was instrumental in this initiative. The team’s participation is a shining example of how local actions can drive meaningful change. By participating in Tempe Empty Bowls, our team members helped countless individuals find hope in the midst of difficult circumstances.
We are proud of our team for striving for something larger than being a leader in high-tech construction solutions to be a catalyst for positive change in the local community.
“Our partnership with Tempe Empty Bowls is a reflection of our commitment to addressing urgent social issues such as homelessness and food insecurity,” says April Ross Rucker, Director of A&E Business Development. “This program is a great example of how we can come together as a company to make a difference in helping individuals and families access better living conditions.”
