AM Technical Solutions (AMTS) has been awarded a three-part architecture and engineering services project for a leading biotech gene therapy company.
The project calls for AMTS to provide Architectural & Engineering (A&E) services to facilitate the renovation and expansion of critical facilities.
We are providing an expert team of licensed Architects, Professional Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical/Life safety), Life Science Process/Industrial Engineers, and AutoCAD/Revit Designers to support the project.
Key Elements of the A&E Project
AMTS fully adopts the owner-advocate model for project delivery. Our approach is to work with the customer to establish the best approach for each phase of the project. We believe a successful partnership is built on trust, transparency, and communication.
Our approach to providing A&E services for Life Science projects differs from the conventional linear process that goes from Planning through to Operate.
We are focused on Early Quality Integration (EQI) that utilizes the Theory of Constraints (TOC) or Pull Planning methodology. This process begins with the end-deliverables, pulling through to the planning stage, and then moves forward to EQI.
Our integrated approach ensures that longer-term impacts are considered, communicated, and addressed with the project team. This sets up the project for success at the critical preliminary stages.
Specific elements of the renovation design include, but are not limited to:
- Code analysis
- Conceptional layout
- Process flows
- Drawings
- Utility capacity assessment
- Basis of Design report
- Equipment list
- Demolition and construction packages
- Technical support
- Facility assessment
- Detailed budget and schedule
- Design Review Meeting reports
- Complete facility documentation
- Architect and Engineer signed and sealed packages
Our Capabilities to Support Complete Project Delivery
Our goal is to complete the project on budget, of the highest quality, and on time. We will strive to achieve all three through our approach to delivering flexibility, visibility, and control throughout the project that includes reliable benchmark performance as measured by cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
“Through our industry-leading approach, we are confident that AMTS will provide the best solution for this project leading to reliable end user functionality at the highest quality,” says Brian Williams, SVP, AM Life Science. “With more than 25 years of leadership in Life Science projects, our project management and leadership teams are equipped with the ideal combination of knowledge, expertise, and excellent communication to deliver a successful project for the customer.”
We look forward to seeing how the customer utilizes the new facility and labs to continue leading biotechnology research and manufacturing that will save and improve lives. Our teams are driven to succeed to support this critical mission.
