AM Technical Solutions (AMTS) announced its continued partnership with Austin Wayne Self last month. This past weekend, we had the opportunity to cheer him on at the Daytona International Speedway as he and his No. 22 AM Technical Solutions/Black’s BBQ Toyota Tundra took the track for their first NASCAR race.
“We’ve sponsored Austin for the past five years. His work ethics align with ours, and we believe in his racing career. We were proud to attend his first NASCAR truck race, and will continue to cheer him on throughout the season,” says Dan Codi, CEO of AMTS.
Austin Wayne Self broke into the top-10 at the midway point of the NCWTS NextEra Energy Resources 250. With just over 30 laps to go, he moved to 6th place. He held that spot until a wreck caused him and 15 other trucks to crash. His No. 22 AM Technical Solutions/Black’s BBQ Toyota Tundra sustained significant left side damage, but he was still in the fight. After fixing his truck, he was able to get back on the track and finished in 19th place.
“His debut was impressive. Austin was in the top-10 for a large portion of the race, and it only ended the way it did because of the wreck. We believe he’s going to make some noise this season, and we are excited to be a part of the ride,” finished Codi.
