AM Technical Solutions (AM) is proud to recognize two employees that have made significant contributions to our company’s growth.
Eric Kauffman and John Holt both celebrated their 10-year work anniversaries this year. To celebrate their milestones, we asked Eric and John about their individual experiences working for AM over the past decade.
Q&A: Eric Kauffman
- Eric Kauffman, VP of Product Development & Deployment
- Work Anniversary: September 21
– What do you value most about working for AM?
Eric: Many things come to mind — the variety of problems I am asked to solve, the flexible schedule, good compensation, great work location, and professional co-workers. However, if I had to pick one thing, it would be the company’s commitment to employees during slow periods.
– How has your role evolved over the years?
Eric: I started as Equipment Service Business Unit Manager, then expanded into & learned the other business units as Product Development Manager. Now, I am maximizing my analytical and systematic approach as VP of Product Development & Deployment to help our project teams manage more clearly.
– How important is the company culture to you?
Eric: Extremely important. It’s very peaceful working with a fair, just, professional group of people.
– What is something you want people to know about the company?
Eric: There is something that people may not see if they just read the list of services we provide. Unlike every other company I’ve worked at — where it’s fairly common — I’ve never seen or experienced any political maneuvering.
– What is one of your favorite memories from your time at AM?
Eric: A two-week project in Germany. I got to showcase my past tool engineering data simplification skills, experience a great location in Europe, and work with a great guy.

“One of Eric’s projects that stands out to me was how he handled a change in strategy,” says Eric’s manager, Dan Codi, AM COO. “He redirected our team’s initial strategy to self-perform tool install engineering on an international project, differentiated our company’s approach from a competitor’s, and helped us win the project.”
Q&A: John Holt
- John Holt: Regional Operations Manager
- Work Anniversary: October 4
– What do you value most about working for AMTS?
John: The culture. The company is always positive, forward-thinking, and innovative. There’s also an incredible amount of support from senior management. They help you when you need it, but trust you to forge your own path.
– How has your role evolved over the years?
John: The expectations remain the same, but the growth and expansion of the company has created new challenges and opportunities. My team has grown from a few superintendents and three test techs to about 35 employees spread over 8 disciplines.
– How important is the company culture to you?
John: Extremely important. It hasn’t deviated from the original path in the 10 years I’ve been a part of the company. Senior management and my peer group are always in stride and we feed off each other’s input and knowledge.
– What is something you want people to know about the company?
John: Behind the scenes, the company is genuinely looking for ways to help the customer succeed, even when it may not be the most profitable path for AM. We will take a strategic hit in return for long-term partnerships and growth.
– What is one of your favorite memories from your time at AM?
John: Bittersweet de-install for one project because I was part of the start-up and some friends lost their jobs when it closed. However, the de-install team we put together was awesome and so much fun to work with. We had a huge challenge before us, but that group of folks never slacked off, did 60 hours per week for six months, and we had a blast finishing the project. It was a rodeo!
