Dan Codi, President of AM Technical Solutions recently received the 2014-15 Award of Excellence, as chosen by the Mid Hudson School Study Council (MHSSC). The organization recognized three Board of Education members, including Mr. Codi from the New York region.
Elected in 2001, Codi has been a member of the Florida Union Free School District Board of Education, having served as the Board President, Vice President, and as a representative on the Audit Committee, amongst other roles. Codi helped reset the district’s vision and direction during a time of community turmoil by offering steady guidance, objectivity and leadership.
“[The district’s current] fiscal stability, innovative instructional programming, and team spirit are in large part due to Dan’s determined leadership,” says Diane M.H. Munro, Superintendent of Schools.
“Dan is known for consistently asking difficult questions, making salient points, and actively sidestepping any chance at micromanagement. He is a tireless and steady steward for our district, and it continues to be a pleasure to have him as an active Board Member,” continues Munro.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working closely with other board members to re-shape the District’s vision to ensure that our focus is placed solely on the needs of students. We want to ensure we are preparing them to be successful adults in a changing world,” says Codi.
“My wife and I have four boys who attend school in the District, and we are also involved in various youth athletic organizations. It’s important to both of us to positively impact our community, and I really appreciate the value our family gets from everyone’s work in the district,” finishes Codi.
