Young Life Fair Park Filling the Need in an Underserved Area
To the outside world, the Fair Park region of Dallas is home to the Cotton Bowl and the annual State Fair of Texas. However, for the individuals and families who call this neighborhood home, it poses a difficult environment for children to grow up in.
According to the latest statistics, a crime occurs about every 6 hours in the South Dallas Fair Park area. Children who grow up in this region are exposed to difficult situations and circumstances from a young age.
Young Life Fair Park has established a strong presence in the region to help middle schoolers and high schoolers find a safe place to build community, grow together, and learn about the love of Christ.
The ministry hosts special events, regular get-togethers, Bible studies, and outreach programs to help students feel a sense of connection and purpose in their lives. Staff members are committed to building relationships and serving as mentors to youth who may not have positive relationships with adult figures in their lives.
One of the ministry’s signature events is the annual Clays for a Cause Event, which helps Young Life Fair Park raise funds to continue investing in local youth. Our company proudly sends a team to the fundraiser each year and encourages our employees to find ways to lend their support.
