Today, we are spotlighting RBI Austin, a local organization in Austin, Texas, that supports inner-city boys and girls through baseball and softball programs. We have supported the organization for over a decade, including serving as a long-term sponsor of the organization’s annual “Now At Bat” fundraiser event.

How RBI Austin Continues to Make an Impact
RBI Austin is a nonprofit organization in Austin that provides baseball and softball leagues, clinics, family benevolence support, and Christian-based mentoring to underserved youth and communities.
RBI Austin recently wrapped up its 2024 RBI Baseball & Softball Summer Leagues (Guys & Girls Ages 13-18). This marked another successful summer season of using the sports of baseball and softball to build up youth in the Austin area.
The organization is making an even bigger impact beyond the summer months. They are planting deep roots in the lives of kids, their families, and local communities throughout the entire year. Just take a look back at what the organization accomplished in 2023:
- 1,483 RBI Austin kids were served.
- RBI Austin celebrated the high school graduation of their first class of mentees. Wow!
- The organization expanded geographically to support more families in the region.
Perhaps most important is the organization’s commitment to mentorship. Volunteers who spend time with the kids are helping shape their lives in a positive way. This has been shown to have a tremendous impact on the kids by helping them develop essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and perseverance.
But it’s not just the kids who benefit from this mentorship. Parents and the community also play a crucial role. By involving families and local organizations such as our company, RBI Austin is creating a support network for these children that goes beyond just sports.
The evidence of the success of the mentorship program is RBI Austin recently celebrating the graduations of their first class of mentees. Many of these students may not have made it all the way through high school without a robust support system.
Now, there is a fresh opportunity to get involved and support the organization. RBI Austin is set to host its first golf tournament to raise funds for the organization.
The RBI Austin Golf Classic 2024 will be held on October 21st at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa – Fazio Foothills Golf Course. You can get involved to help make a difference in supporting hundreds – and now thousands – of youth in Central Texas.
