We are currently partnering with an engineering and construction company to provide facility support for a semiconductor lab. Our primary focus will be providing a qualified Gas & Chemical Project Manager (GCS PM) to oversee a large-scale build-out at a fabrication facility in the Southwestern U.S.
The GCS PM will report to the senior leadership of the partner company with regular status updates in regard to Cost, Schedule, and Budget. The Project Manager will also act as an owner’s representative to the Mechanical Contractor assigned to this project.
On a professional level, the GCS PM will serve as a leader committed to the overall project objectives. The PM will display strong skills in the areas of leadership, decision-making, and time management to bring the project to completion.
Our Project Scope Supporting the Semiconductor Lab
We have been awarded critical project scope spanning the entirety of the project. Our initial project work includes the following:
- Prepare the project schedule and budget
- Review the project plans, specifications, and lead scheduling.
- Assist with scheduling and planning concepts.
- Identify cost savings measures and potential construction problems.
- Engage with design professionals, consultants, and the client to plan for the project execution.
After we identify and address any project constraints, we will follow through by managing key responsibilities at the fab. Our on-site project scope includes the following:
- Direct the assigned Mechanical Contractor, sub-contractors, and other construction-related personnel in safely executing the work according to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Adhere to specified safety standards and promote a safety culture throughout the build-out.
- Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the project’s lifespan.
- Meet at regular intervals with the construction company’s team to keep them advised on the status of cost versus budget and the progress of the work.
- Assist the architect of record and the customer’s in-house engineering.
- Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance.
- Investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance and drive toward corrective actions.
- Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement.
We will provide the Gas & Chemical Project Manager with ample resources to ensure the successful completion of the project. We will focus on limiting disruption by carefully coordinating the work to be completed to optimize performance at the facility.
