AM Technical Solutions (AM) was a proud sponsor of the RBI Austin “Now At Bat” 2023 benefit event held on Friday, January 20th at the JW Marriott in Austin. As part of our sponsorship, we had three tables of guests amongst the record number of attendees.
Through the incredible generosity of the RBI Austin community, this year’s fundraiser raised $1,174,000 to support 1,577 kids in Central Texas.
The record-breaking amount far exceeded the organization’s goal of $905,000 and last year’s total of $803,000. It was the largest amount ever raised during an RBI Austin “Now At Bat” benefit event.
Our involvement was spearheaded by Tony Manti, our VP Strategic Sourcing. Tony continues to be deeply involved in RBI Austin and helps connect our company to opportunities to participate in the organization.
RBI Austin Continues to Build Future Leaders
Our company has been a long-standing supporter of RBI Austin. We have supported kids and their families throughout our home region through programs centered around baseball and softball. Now, many of the original RBI Kids have grown into leaders in the business community.
During the benefit event, we had an opportunity to hear from past RBI Kids about how the organization played an integral part in building their confidence. It was clear that the values that were instilled in them have continued to make a difference in their lives as adults.
We also heard from current RBI Kids about how their life is being shaped by the various programs RBI Austin hosts throughout the year. Their messages highlighted the power of investing in kids to help them prepare for a positive future.
The message was reinforced by this year’s keynote speakers from the University of Texas:
- Texas Longhorns baseball manager David Pierce
- Texas Longhorns softball associate head coach Steve Singleton
Also in attendance from the Longhorns community were baseball legend Huston Street, softball legend Cat Osterman, and many other former Longhorns players.
“We are thrilled by the outpouring of support for hundreds of kids and families,” says Tony Manti. “I am proud to be part of an organization that helps kids be part of a team where they are known, encouraged, and developed. You can see the difference in the lives of current and former RBI Kids.”
