AM Life Science, a division of AM Technical Solutions, recently won an exciting new project supporting the facility expansion plans for a global biopharmaceutical company in the Northeast U.S.
Once completed, the new facility will support innovative research into rare types of diseases and support the development of life-saving pharmaceutical drugs to treat patients.
Our customer is currently in phase three of a multi-year capital expansion project at their facility. The goal of this particular phase of the expansion project is to create state-of-the-art, single-use technology (SUT), continuous MFG, and multi-product capability.
Our Project Scope Supporting the Biopharm Facility Expansion
The global biopharma company sought a project partner that could deliver industry-leading engineering support to help design, build, and commission the new facility. To meet this need, we will be providing high-quality Upstream, Downstream process, Clean & Dirty Utility design engineering, and Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation support.
The added challenge is completing the project in a manner that will still allow the customer to maintain regular day-to-day operations at the facility. We are well-equipped to meet this challenge through our strong project coordination and communication capabilities.
Overall, we believe that our company is uniquely qualified to support the project because of our industry-leading engineering talent as well as our Early Quality Integration (EQI) and professional project approach.
Our team of engineers are familiar with the facility site, the customer’s policies and procedures, and the people involved in the project. This will enable us to hit the ground running achieving each project deliverable throughout the duration of the project.
“Once the project is complete, AM will have helped deliver a fully operational, compliant, and agile, state-of-the-art facility,” says Brian Williams, SVP, AM Life Science. “We are excited to see the true value of this project supporting life-saving research into various types of diseases that will positively impact so many patients and their families.”
