Run For a Reason: A Community Effort That Exceeded the Fundraising Goal

At AM Technical Solutions (AM), we believe that strong communities are built when people show up for one another. This past December, that belief was brought to life through “Run For a Reason,” benefiting Young Life Fair Park in Dallas.

What started as a runner-led fundraising effort tied to the BMW Dallas Marathon on December 14, 2025, quickly became something much bigger. With a goal of $29,400 to support the Young Life ministry serving inner-city youth and families affected by disabilities, the community stepped up in a powerful way.

Together, the RunFAR community raised over $34,000, exceeding the original goal and expanding the initiative’s impact. Learn why we were eager to serve as one of the sponsors of this powerful community-driven event.

How “Run For A Reason” Turned Racing Into Meaningful Impact

Race day was the culmination of weeks of fundraising, community outreach, and personal commitment from runners who showed up with purpose – not just to complete the marathon, but to support a cause greater than themselves.

The funds will directly support Young Life programs that create life-changing opportunities for students of all walks of life, including those with disabilities and their families. Specifically, the funds will support:

  • Young Life Celebration outreach events that foster a sense of belonging and community.
  • Weekend camp opportunities that encourage connection and confidence.
  • Summer camp experiences that provide growth, independence, and lifelong memories.

RunForAReason2 The heart of this effort was the runners themselves. Through a voluntary fundraising challenge, participants committed to both the physical miles and the mission behind them. Many set personal fundraising goals, rallied friends and family, and helped turn a shared vision into real impact.

Friendly competition and community encouragement added energy along the way, but the true success was measured in lives supported and opportunities created.
