AM Technical Solutions (AM) has built a reputation for handling the most complex and challenging high-tech construction projects in the world. That’s why we are eager to participate in a multi-year project to create a first-class biopharmaceutical facility for a Life Science client.
The company is currently constructing a new biopharma facility to support the production of a critical drug that will help millions of patients. The client’s internal pressure vessel and hygienic inspection team has asked our company to augment their 3rd party vessel, skids, and piping inspection services.
We are more than qualified to support our client, as we were founded on 3rd party quality piping inspection services and this service remains part of our core business. We possess the expertise and the right team members to support our client’s internal project team.
Find out how we plan to deliver this critical project scope with a “first time right” approach to help keep this crucial project on track toward completion.
Our Scope for the Biopharmaceutical Facility Project Work
Logistics will play a key role in the successful completion of this project. Our client’s main site will be in the Central U.S., but some of the project work will be completed off-site at other locations in the U.S. and around the world. The goal is to construct multiple high-tech biopharma facilities for drug production on one expansive campus.
Because the project is estimated to last 2-3 years, we will be working closely with multiple teams at different locations over a prolonged period of time. This setup will require close coordination with teams spread across various time zones.
Our specific project scope includes the following:
- Review documentation (incoming material examination reports, MTRs, weld logs, etc.),
- Perform internal (borescopic) inspection of the welds.
- Perform preliminary slope verification.
- Support the generation, organization, and quality of the Turnover Packages.
Being one of the largest projects of its kind, our team will need to be ready to provide support wherever our client asks us to go to ensure the quality of the materials, equipment, and documentation they receive from their manufacturers.
The mass amount of documents the manufacturers must submit will need to be closely watched. We expect our team members to handle this aspect efficiently to ensure that we continue to deliver value to our client and help bring the project execution plan to a successful conclusion.
Some key team members involved in the project are Level II/CWI Inspectors. These qualified individuals will help our client’s downstream teams and Commissioning and Qualification agents leverage the work performed so they do not have to perform repeat testing that otherwise would slow down the project.
“Based on our experienced inspectors, as well as our complete understanding of the documentation process, we are prepared to place our client’s teams in the best position for success,” says Brian Williams, AM SVP, Life Sciences. “We have the right team and capabilities to save time in the schedule and reduce overall project costs to help our client launch a groundbreaking new facility.”
