In 2020, AM Technical Solutions (AM) supported a semiconductor client by providing design and engineering support at their facility. The project called for specific expertise from our company to ensure that the client possesses the required capabilities to expand their capacity for wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors.
In 2021, we are continuing to support the client through an initial feasibility study at their site. We are in the process of evaluating the capabilities of the facility to determine whether the facility can support the tool set planned for the project. This will help the client meet the current high demand in the industry for these types of devices.
Our Project Scope Supporting Tools and Infrastructure
During this phase of the project, the semiconductor company specifically required design and engineering services to develop construction documents for tool installation and the supporting infrastructure.
We have extensive experience and industry-leading expertise with these types of high-tech construction projects, including the design and engineering for MOVCVD tool installation. We will also be providing needed support for the infrastructure elements (Exhaust, PCW, PVAC, and Specialty Gases) to facilitate the use of these critical tools.
Because of the need to address a wide variety of challenges, we are providing multiple company leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to work alongside the client and drive toward the successful completion of the project. The resources we are providing include Project Managers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Process/Chemical Engineers, Architects, and BIM Designers.
