This charity skeet shooting event, hosted by Young Life, helps raise the funds necessary to send 146 underprivileged South Dallas teens, five teens with special needs, and three teen moms to summer camps across the nation.
Young Life reaches these teens throughout the year by hosting clubs, bible studies, and field trips, including a day at Texas Motor Speedway. While all of these events are impactful, summer camp is a week that stays with them forever.
Young life needs to raise approximately $25,000 to cover the cost of camp tuition and fees. Clays For A Cause put a significant dent in that number.
“I’m extremely proud of our fundraising efforts. This was our best year yet. The event was able to make a donation of almost $20,000 and AMTS was able to contribute to that with time and resources,” says Tim Glasson, SVP of Corporate Development.
“Young Life is a blessing. Not only do they provide fun and mentoring, but they open these kids’ hearts to the word of the Lord. We look forward to our next opportunity to serve,” finished Glasson.
